An antagonist who disappeared after the first Ant-Man movie could make his comeback and be at the origin of the arrival of Kang the Conqueror in the MCU.

The Marvel Universe has throughout its franchises introduced many supervillains. If Thanos was by far the most formidable of them, Phase 4 will see the arrival of Kang the Conqueror. Advertised as the big bad of Ant-Man 3 However, it is unclear how this iconic enemy of the Avengers will make its entrance. Could the Quantum Realm promote its presence? Will he use his powers to travel through time? So many questions to which the next installment of the adventures of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) will answer while a forgotten villain from the first film could make his comeback and in fact be responsible for the Kang threat. We of course want to talk about Mitchell Carson introduced to the MCU as a member of SHIELD in the flashback sequence opening of Ant-Man . Nonetheless, it was later discovered that the agent was actually working for Hydra and for this purpose, planned to steal the particle research and the Quantum Realm from Hank Pym ( Michael Douglas ).

Although he ultimately got a minor role in the first feature film, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Mitchell Carson return in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. While the original ending might have filmed Carson’s capture, director Peyton Reed revealed during an interview that the character’s leak with multiple particle samples was actually deliberate. This obviously leads us to ask some serious questions about the future involvement of Hydra in the next Phases of the MCU. Although the majority of the organization has been demolished in Captain America and the Winter Soldier then reduced to nothing thanks to the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, remains that several links in the chain could survive and prepare for their return to the Marvel universe thanks to the stolen research of Hank Pym. A probable theory which would ultimately favor the arrival of Kang the Conqueror and which would allow this mystery around Carson to be solved in order to make

Ant-Man 3 one of the most important movies of Phase 5 of the MCU !
