Captain America’s time travel at the end of Avengers Endgame remains a very mysterious subject.
Steve Rogers aka Captain America had a very special final scene in Avengers Endgame . For good reason, the former soldier left for a few seconds in the past and then returned to the present, old and with the desire to retire. A somewhat surprising twist for his friends since he was supposed to simply put the Infinity Stones back in their place. What could Steve Rogers do on this journey through time? The scene just before the end credits leaves no room for doubt as it shows Steve and Peggy Carter dancing together. We can therefore guess that he has found his great love again. However, this sequence does not fully answer the question. Also don’t count on the Russo brothers, the directors of Avengers Endgame, to give you more ‘information.

Confirming at the same time that the one in which he found Peggy is different from the one where Sam and Bucky are at the end of the film. Joe Russo explains “Cap had to go back to the main timeline to give Sam Wilson his shield. This is the internal logic that we defined, it was the choice we made, based on everything that happened he had to go to another branch of reality and return to the original one in order to bequeath his shield. “ Not sure that really clears it up. The time travel of Captain America, who was almost not played by Chris Evans at the end of Avengers Endgame , will undoubtedly remain a mystery that it is better to accept as it is.
