The number of episodes of the series Falcon and the Winter Soldier, soon available on Disney +, has been confirmed by Kevin Feige.

Available from 19 next March on Disney +, Falcon and the Winter Soldier will be part of the new programs from the streaming platform. A new arrival which especially delights fans of the MCU, since the show comes after WandaVision , which started phase 4. However, unlike the latter, Falcon and the Winter Soldier only consists of only 6 episodes , against the 9 at 07 initially planned by Marvel Studios. A number confirmed by Kevin Feige at an event hosted by the Television Critic Association earlier this week. This shortening is not however due to the quality of the series, but quite simply a question of budget.

The episodes of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, who could also be one of the most violent projects of the MCU , are indeed very expensive. Anthony Mackie, the interpreter of Sam Wilson alias Falcon, has in the past mentioned a total budget of several hundred million dollars . A sum far from being derisory, but which nevertheless seems in accordance with the type of productions that the wish to create Marvel Studios . Kevin Feige, however, is reassuring “We decided that six o’clock was the perfect time to tell our story.” Unlike WandaVision whose episodes last on average half an hour, those of Falcon and the Winter Soldier should therefore last one hour each.
