Fantastic Beasts 3: Will the film be the end of the franchise?

Fantastic Beasts 3 could be the last-ditch opus for the franchise based on the Harry Potter universe.

Even before Johnny Depp gets fired, Fantastic Beasts 3

was already in turmoil. Earlier this year, actor Ezra Miller, who plays Belief, also found himself at the heart of a controversy after a video in which he strangled a fan surfaced on the Web. To this is added the multiple transphobic remarks of J.K Rowling which drew him, rightly, the wrath of fans, the media and even the cast of the Harry Potter saga. These media debacles are not, however, the only weight weighing on this third opus of the spin-off franchise. From the first movie Fantastic Beasts , she struggles to convince.

You would think that by adapting the Harry Potter universe once again to the big screen, the trick would be played. Yet the magic is struggling to operate. Yes Fantastic Beasts didn't do too badly, Fantastic Beasts 2 : The Crimes of Grindelwald was even less attractive to the public. Multiple inconsistencies, final plot twist which does not make sense, too anecdotal presence of Dumbledore … The criticisms were numerous, so that the third film could be the one of the last chance.
