Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3: we finally know where Star-Lord and his team were during the last MCU movies

Where was Peter Quill and the Guardians of the Galaxy during Spider-Man: Far from Home and the other MCU movies? Here is the answer.

Some time after we wondered if the start date of the filming of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 had finally been revealed , this time we look at the characters of the franchise and especially their absence on the screen. After their appearance in the Avengers , Star-Lord and the others were rather discreet , and we learn from Happy in Spider-Man Far From Home that the Guardians are not available to intervene on the last crisis in date. So where were they? The director and screenwriters of the films Guardians of the Galaxy James Gunn recently gave a few replies on Twitter.

As you can see above, Peter Quill, Rocket and the others don’t just become the guardians of any galaxy, and it is on the Andromeda galaxy that they are rather responsible for watching . Neighboring our Milky Way, Andromeda is far enough away to justify Star-Lord’s absence for a few MCU movies, yet still close enough to make their return cohesive and entirely possible in the event of force majeure.
