Did Loki use the Tesseract to escape, or did the Tesseract use Loki? That is the question!

The god of mischief will return on the small screen in May 2012 in the Disney series Loki , including the first trailer shows it in the grip of the famous Time Variance Authority. After being killed by Thanos from the first moments of Avengers Infinity War , the anti-hero played by Tom Hiddleston kind of got a second chance in Avengers Endgame . As the Avengers try to recover the stones in 768, the Loki of the time took the opportunity to escape with the Tesseract. However, is this really the case? A theory shared on Reddit offers the opposite scenario: it was the Tesseract who used Loki to escape inevitable destruction.

Shared by TheMediocreCritic , This hypothesis makes the Tesseract, which houses the Space Stone, a conscious artifact that uses Loki in order to protect. By teleporting, the Tesseract thus creates an alternate timeline in which the Infinity Stones are not destroyed. In order to support his theory, this Redditor mentions a passage from the film Avengers in which Dr. Selvig says the Tesseract is talking to him. Another probable proof of Space Stone consciousness is the fact that Red Skull was teleported to Vormir and made Guardian of the Soul Stone. In this way, the Tesseract once again protected a gem. If this hypothesis is very interesting, we must admit that these few clues are quite light. Maybe the Disney series Loki

will tell us more.
