The last Star Wars trilogy could have been very different if it had been directed by George Lucas!
The last Star Wars trilogy concluded almost a year ago on the big screen. Led by J.J. Abrams and Rian Johnson, however, the last episodes received a mixed reception from the fans, the latter criticizing one of their favorite saga for borrowing too much from the first trilogy or even to the Disney universe. If in the final trilogy Luke failed to maintain the teaching of the Force, The Direct reveals that George Lucas actually intended to make the character triumph, in order to allow a new Jedi generation to found the New Republic with General Organa at its head. That being said, the George Lucas trilogy appears to be quite different from that produced by Disney. Being only a few years after the events of Return of the Jedi, the last episodes would therefore have focused more on the Skywalkers, and not on new characters like Rey, Finn and Poe Dameron. A choice that would have been finally interesting to observe on the big screen, although series like The Mandalorian could help us to see more clearly on the vicissitudes which marked the galaxy after the victory of the Rebels against the Empire.
