During an interview, Joe Manganiello returned to the aborted project The Batman by Ben Affleck teasant then some elements of the story.
Expected next year in theaters, Tea Batman will offer a new adaptation to the world of Batman, able thanks to his extended universe to surpass the MCU . However, the initial Bruce Wayne project could have been very different from the one currently in development under Matt Reeves with Robert Pattinson in the title role as Ben Affleck was originally scheduled to take the reins of a solo adaptation based on the adventures of the justice of Gotham. A project finally aborted after the mixed reception of Batman v Supeman then from Justice League but that could have been particularly interesting if we are to believe the words of Joe Manganiello aka Deathstroke.
Indeed, during an interview with Yahoo , the American actor returned to the project of Ben Affleck likes a movie similar to “the cinematography of David Fincher” and more particularly at The Game. The feature film would subsequently see Deathstroke confront Batman and attempt to destroy his status within Gotham, Manganiello having subsequently added: “ It was a really dark story in which Deathstroke was like a shark or a horror movie villain who dismantles Bruce's life from within. It's a systemic thing: he kills everyone who is close to Bruce and destroys his life in an attempt to make him suffer because he thought Bruce was responsible for something that had happened to him. ” An unpublished confession that teaches us more about the heart of the plot of The Batman and who makes us wonder how Deathstroke's threats would have materialized in the film. Fortunately, fans will most certainly get a taste of
its dangerousness in the Snyder Cut of Justice League which recently confirmed the return of the supervillain in the DCEU!
