The creator of The Mandalorian wanted to clarify things concerning the controversial behavior of Baby Yoda in season 2.
Exit the charming Baby Yoda capable of triggering a wave of adoration in his path! In the second episode of season 2 of The Mandalorian , The Child from the same species as Yoda revealed itself in a whole new light. The latter hinted at a new facet of his much darker personality. A behavior that did not fail to cause controversy. And for good reason, some starwarsians were deeply shocked to see the adorable green creature devouring Lady Frog's eggs voraciously. A major sacrilege described by director Kevin Smith on Twitter as a “awful genocide”.

Worse, the Jedi Master has been considered since the dawn of time as the supreme symbol of the vegan diet. Seeing Baby Yoda gorging on animal protein with pleasure is therefore a task! Which explains why fans quickly stepped up to denounce this scriptwriting inconsistency after the episode aired. On social networks, they were very numerous to criticize the indecent behavior of Baby Yoda, reproaching the writers of 'having injected a dark part into the pure and candid nature of the Child
“The chapter 10 from The Mandalorian makes it clear that Lady Frog's eggs are not f ertilized, like the chicken eggs we eat every day. These eggs are not sentient creatures and the fact that the Child devours them is made to disturb us, it gives a comic effect “he said. Never mind, this is a very bad taste joke that some fans still have in their throats. An episode that divides as much as it scandalizes. Moreover, other Internet users are on the contrary convinced that Baby Yoda did not aim to eat the eggs but rather to protect them. By swallowing them, the latter places them in a safe place , like a hen incubating her eggs. A hypothesis that will probably be verified in the third episode which comes out tomorrow on Disney .
