The Resident season 4: episode 5, the fate of Nic and Chastain, our verdict

The writers of The Resident manage to play wonderfully with our emotions … Last night, episode 5 of season 4 of The Resident aired on Fox and as the promo video teased us, Nic was stabbed by a man on medication … Did she get away with it? Has she lost her baby? The editorial ‘of melty invites you to discover its verdict of “Home Before Dark” . This episode 5 of season 4 of The Resident was undoubtedly one of the most moving and heartbreaking experience of the series! And the performances during this episode were incredible. It’s hard to identify an extraordinary person at a time when so many of our beloved characters have given us their all during this dire and stressful situation.

The Resident manages to give us happy moments to break them the hour after … As a result, we witness the full range of the characters’ emotions. Conrad didn’t even have to say anything during these times; his body language and tears were more than enough . The feeling of helplessness he felt was gnawing at him. Thanks to Devon reminding him that he was a doctor first and foremost, he found out what was wrong with Nic after his long surgery. As soon as the duo found her blood tests and information on her thyroid, they were able to treat her accordingly and save her life! This brotherly relationship is also one of the strengths of the series.

Marshall and Kyle also had some remarkable emotional moments in this episode 5 of season 4 of The Resident . Marshall’s pure and wonderful joy when he found out he was going to be a grandfather overwhelmed us. The moment when Marshall told Kyle about his daughter’s health and especially that she was pregnant was heartbreaking. Nic’s father found himself on his knees on the floor, crying all the tears in his body. They have lived through so many tragedies that one more would have been fatal. It was so beautiful to see these two men supporting each other in this difficult ordeal. The Mina / AJ duo were also amazing . This is the type of hour that makes you appreciate how far their characters have evolved since their inception. From insensitive to sensitive, they are so present for their friends. And Nic and Mina have become like sisters in The Resident. There was so much love at Chastain Memorial. All these characters have become a real family over time!

This feeling of family was reinforced by the fact that the hospital was entirely empty, since it had to close its doors … It was something tragic that ‘They rush through the halls of an empty hospital, trying to gather working equipment and using what was left to save Chastain’s soul. But that didn’t stop them from doing their utmost to save Nic and at the same time the hospital . Marshall and Bell decided to raise money to make it a public hospital. Like what, everyone changes and Cain was also the proof. This episode 5 of season 4 4334103 of The Resident still ended with a happy note . Nic wanted to know the fate of his baby alongside Conrad and his father .. and finally, they heard his heart beat. Their little daughter is still alive and we can tell, what a relief after such a stressful and overwhelming hour!
